Our client is seeking a Sr. Developer to join their team on an initial 1 - 3 month contract to assist the current team with some enhancements to existing internal software applications. As our customer's reliance on IT continues to grow - new work has been approved on critical applications like supplier payment, check writer and finance intelligence applications. 

The developer will assist the existing application delivery team develop code and applications to pre-defined company standards. These standards are already in place; and the chosen consultant will be expected to understand the requirements, decipher the code and make the necessary changes. This is purely an execution position with the expectation the chosen consultant will be able to function within and Agile software development environment, developing strong code to spec and standards. The applications delivery team works with both internal corporate projects and external, customer facing applications. On top of the technical skills needed for this role...a proper culture fit is just as important. Our customer sees consultants as partners that want to join a group and help make them better. 

Responsibilities: 
Execute on defined specifications for enhancements to existing web applications...primarily in the finance department. Experience working in an interactive / agile environment is very important for this position; as the customer is transitioning their architecture and development to this environment. Experience with Java, SPRING, HIBERNATE, WEB SERVICES and STRUTS are the critical needs for this project. A consultant who can answer the "why" instead of just the "what" is critical for this role. 

Location: College Park, GA (near the Atlanta airport)
