Job Description 

Our Client is the leading provider of on-demand and on-premises business intelligence and performance analytics products for contact centers and IT organizations, seeks a Software Engineer. You will be responsible for the design and implementation of web-based applications and products. Software Engineers must have a strong OO and Java background with the talent to build complex and rich internet applications and J2EE based backend systems for our core products. You will be using Java, SQL, AJAX and Flex, XML, SOAP to build rich internet applications used for business intelligence and reporting analytics applications.

As a technically-focused team member, you will work extensively with various disciplines in the product team and are expected to follow and enhance our development practices. You must be committed to developing award-winning applications using state-of-the-art technologies and practices.

Responsibilities 
* Engage in the design, implementation and deployment phases of our SDLC. 
* Design and implement new features for deployment across our entire product line. 
* Extend existing products. 
* Perform development, unit testing, and application testing individually and in collaboration with the team. 
* Manage versioning of code assets in a repository. 
* Support problem resolution efforts by responding to inquiries from others regarding errors, problems, or questions about applications. 
* Research and evaluate software (including open source libraries and 3rd party products) for inclusion in the development process. 
* Document application design, implementation, and repair decisions. 
* Communicate status to team members and managers. 

Requirements 
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related discipline, or equivalent experience 
* 3+ years of core development Java development (J2SE) experience 
* 2+ years of web-based application development experience 
* Strong interpersonal skills 
* Acute attention to detail 
* Strong communication and conceptual skills 
* Proven ability to meet tight deadlines 
* Deployed software on Linux, Sun Solaris, and Microsoft Windows platforms 
* Intimate knowledge of source code management systems, including exposure to distributed systems
