Thompson Technologies has an immediate need for a Lead webMethods Developer for our client in Alpharetta, GA.  This is a full-time / permanent opportunity.

In this role, you will be a member of a product development team and responsible for requirement analysis, system analysis and design, development, implementation and maintenance of various business and technical applications on the webMethods / Oracle platform. 

NOTE:  Local candidates preferred – no relocation assistance available.  Must be permitted to work for any U.S. employer – no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities:
Analyzing business requirements and develop system requirement specifications. 
Converting business and system requirements into detailed system design and technical specifications. 
Creating work effort estimates that will be used to present to the customer and will be the primary input to project schedule work breakdowns. 
Converting system designs and technical specifications into program code.  
Analyzing and troubleshooting existing program code and correct errors as required. 
Creating and maintaining user, technical and operational documentation that describes program code, logic, changes and corrections. 
Providing technical support to end-users and other support groups. 
Providing performance and production run monitoring for applications assigned after implementation.  

Requirements: 
Minimum of 3 years development experience of which 2 years dedicated to using webMethods products including Integration Server, Developer, Modeler, Broker, Workflow, Optimizer, BAM Server, Process Server and JDBC Adapter. 
Current webMethods 6.5/7.0/7.1 application development experience. 
Experience in Service Oriented Architecture technologies (e.g., SOAP, XML, WS (web services)). 
Exposure to Java IDEs. 
Good understanding of complex SQL and using relational databases is required (specific work with Oracle, MySQL is a plus). 
Experience with UNIX / Linux operating systems. 
Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work related experience is required.  
Java / webMethods certification and industry certifications are a definite plus. 
Must possess good communication skills, verbal and written; must be flexible, adaptable, and have the ability to handle multiple priorities; must be able to work independently and have an entrepreneurial spirit; must have demonstrated leadership skills.
