We are representing a multi-billion dollar technology leader based in Alpharetta, GA. Right now we are searching for a Lead Software Architect to direct a current application development project. This is a contract-perm position, details are below. 

Purpose: 
Develops software designs in support of Company's operational information systems. Responsible for all software designs and architecture for multiple projects under the direction of a Director. 

Primary Functions: 
* Works with Business Managers in translating business concepts into high level architecture 
* Works with Design Engineers to translate high level architecture into a design 
* Ensure Department Design Reviews conform to Company Standards 
* Work with Director to develop design priorities and resolve issues at the Department level 

Secondary Functions: 
* Respond to technical direction from Principal Software Architect 
* Provide mentoring to Senior Software Architects 
* Provide Technical Design Support to Director 
* Participate in technical/professional training 
* Respond to administrative direction from Director 

Required Areas of Experience 
Computer Software Engineer, Applications 5 - 9 years 
Computer Software Engineer, Systems Software 5 - 9 years 

Required Skills 
C++ Programming Languages 3 - 4 years 
XML 3 - 4 years 
HTML 3 - 4 years 
Java Programming Language 3 - 4 years 
Microsoft .Net 3 - 4 years 
Oracle Applications 1 - 2 years 
Software AG Adabas Database Entry 

Number of Direct Reports: 
4-5 

Number of Indirect Reports: 
2-3 

Preferred experience with RAD, Waterfall, Spiral Methodologies. Full life-cycle development and multi-project level leadership experience.

Excellent Communication Skills are necessary.
