Sr. Java Developer - Permanent - Alpharetta - Job Description: 

Our customer is an industry leading business services outsourcing company located in Alpharetta, GA. They have an innovative and highly visible group that is responsible for building integration solutions for their entire enterprise. They are looking for two highly skilled Senior Java Engineers to join their team on a full time basis. 

These positions are for Senior Java/J2EE/WebSphere Developers who also have strong business analysis and excellent communication skills. The primary component of these positions will be the design and development of J2EE, Web/Portal Applications, middleware, and services. Primary platforms/technologies include Java, J2EE, Oracle, JSP, IBM WebSphere. Experience with content management technologies is much preferred. 

Responsibilities in this role include: 

• The development of application enhancements using various programming languages and tools. • Analyzing business processes and designing innovative technical solutions utilizing software solutions developed by our team. • Leading meetings with users in various business units to gather information about current business processes and proposed solutions. • Conducting structured analysis, design and documentation. Documentation includes detailed requirements: class, sequence, state and ERD diagrams. • Reviewing code packages developed by other team members to ensure adherence to coding and design standards. 

Qualifications Required: 

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science required or equivalent combination of education/experience • 7 years related experience with Demonstrated and progressive experience of more than 5 years in Java and J2EE technologies. • Expert knowledge of Java, J2EE, JSP, Struts, Web Services, SQL, XML • Experience working with content management solutions. • Experience working with IBM WebSphere products. • Experience working with XML Beans or similar technologies • Solid UML/OO Skills including Analysis, Design, and Development. • Good knowledge of Design Patterns. • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with other developers to solve larger problems. • J2EE Certifications a plus. • IBM WebSphere Portal experiences a plus. • UI Experience in JavaScript, DHTML, and/or AJAX a plus.
