Job Description:

Specific duties of this position include, but are not limited to: 
•	Plans, conducts, and coordinates programming application activities in a UNIX environment.
•	Performs programming, testing, data set establishment, integration and deployment of JAVA, J2EE, HTML, XML, and other code in existing and new programs. 

The ideal candidate must possess the follow:

o	5+ years as an experience software developer, with strong knowledge of general algorithms, design patterns, and good coding practices.  
o	3+ years experience participating in all stages of project development cycle (planning, design, implementation, and testing).
o	5+ years hands-on experience in JAVA, J2EE (including Hibernate/EJB3), JMS, SOAP, XML, JDBC, Web Services.
o	Have strong knowledge of relational databases, including SQL, DDL.
o	Have hands-on experience with databases like Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.  
o	Experience with working on large-scale data-driven applications, is preferred.
o	Have hands-on experience with application servers, such as JBoss or WebLogic.


Job Restrictions:

Some of the "Nice to haves":

o	Experience with meta-data driven frameworks, such as rule-based engines, OS Workflow, etc. is a plus.  Expertise in UNIX/Linux is a plus.
o	Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
o	Apply attention to detail and application of standards and processes.
o	Ability to work well within a team environment.
o	Self-motivated with strong delivery focus.

Education:
•	Bachelor’s degree - in a computer science, engineering or management information systems, is preferred.
