The Software QA engineer will work closely with software engineers to plan and execute the testing strategies for WebCTRL and help deliver a quality application. 

Job Responsibilities:
•	Perform feature, component and product testing with emphasis on testing the core infrastructure such as services, data persistence and network communications aspects of WebCTRL 
•	Develop test plans and provide usability input for new features or feature enhancements
•	Setup/network HVAC control modules for the team’s testing needs
•	Contribute to automating system tests and regression tests
•	Collaborate with QA engineers on other WebCTRL teams for system testing
•	Help write documentation drafts and review end-user documentation
•	Help technical support team to diagnose and resolve technical problems

The successful candidate will be inquisitive and organized with good time management skills.  This position requires excellent communication skills as well as the ability to work well in a team environment.

Required Skills:
•	Strong computer skills (using MS Windows platforms)
•	Knowledge of computer networking
•	Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate in a team environment
•	Problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Required Experience: Experience in at least one of the following areas is required:
•	Software product testing
•	Software support
•	Software development
•	HVAC controls engineering

Preferred Experience:
•	Experience using Linux and/or Solaris
•	Experience setting up MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL databases
•	Experience with Java programming
•	Experience setting up and wiring hardware components
•	Experience with HVAC fundamentals

Education:
•	AA/AS degree with 5-10 years applicable experience
•	BA/BS degree with 2-5+ years applicable experience
