My client has an immediate need for a Java Programmer for a 9-month (minimum) contract.  They are a multi-billion dollar leader in the technology industry currently developing new commercial applications.  This is a chance to work alongside some of the brightest minds in the business on an exciting new project. The purpose of this position is to develop software code in support of the company's operational information systems. You will provide technical direction and mentoring to programmers and software engineers in the utilization of key coding languages.

The application will be written in Java in a Unix environment with Oracle database.  Key skills needed include:
Core Java 5-10yrs (no web development, no J2EE necessary)
Unix (Solaris preferable)
Oracle
Drools
Object-oriented programming
Good communication skills
