A Thompson Technologies client and Alpharetta based retail software solutions company is seeking a junior-mid level Java Developer for a contract position (possibility of becoming permanent).  The position is based in Atlanta; 20-30% travel will be required.

Our client is a one-hundred million dollar organization with over 300 clients world-wide.  This is an excellent chance to become a part of an established, growing organization.  

Developer Profile: 
BA, Computer Science or equivalent 
Sound conceptual knowledge of common programming languages 
Hands-on coding experience in Java (and C++) 
·         Experience with a retail application would be a plus but no required
·         E-commerce experience a plus
·         Passionate, driven and motivated person
·         Experience with UNIX a plus

Experience with the following is also required: SQL and/or Oracle, RDBMS. 
Experience with supply chain management, merchandizing, or retail is an advantage but not a requirement. 
You must be willing and able to travel as required, both domestically and internationally. 

The Java Developer will initially participate in intensive product training and will then participate at all levels of company software implementation life cycle:
·         Installation of software and software patches
·         Configuration
·         Customization
·         Testing and troubleshooting
·         Onsite support
