        My client is a large software firm in Arizona, and I am looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer to complement their existing team.   My client is a fast-paced company, a leader in the industry, and have been in business for nearly 3 decades.   This company offers one of the most robust, versatile financial and cost accounting software packages to some of the largest commercial construction and heavy highway construction companies throughout the United States, Canada, Guam, and Puerto Rico.  You may know people I need to talk with to find the two Sr. Java Developers I am looking for.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

Assist in understanding the requirements, identifying the stakeholders, helping to analyze the requirements and extracting those of architectural significance.  
Supporting the developers, making sure that the developers are able to realize the architecture, by combination of mentoring and direct involvement.
Code from specification as needed 
Verifying the implementation, ensuring the delivery system is consistent with the agreed architecture, and will meet the requirements.
Support integration testing.
Hold code review sessions as needed.
Mentor all developers on the team as needed.
 

Skills

Minimum eight (8) years experience in building commercial software applications using the J2EE environment. The successful candidates must have AS400 experience. 
I-Series experience a plus 
Strong object orient skills. 
In-depth knowledge of J2EE technologies such as EJB 3, JSP/Servlets, JMS, JDBC, JMX, JMS, SOAP. 
Experience working with open source technologies such as Hibernate, Spring. 
Experience with JSF and Struts frame work 
Experience using test driven development tools like JUnit or Cactus. 
Good knowledge of Relational Databases and SQL, especially DB2. 
Experience with XML technologies. 
Ability to mentor and provide technical direction on application architecture.  Experience using tools such as Eclipse, CVS/Subversion/Clear Case. 
Prior experience in installing and configuring enterprise grade software. 
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
IDE:  Eclipse and/or WSAD and/or RAD 6 
Source Control:  Clear case, CVS, SVN
