Our client, an industry-leading provider of high-quality network and communications solutions to the hospitality industry, located in northwest Atlanta has two immediate openings for a Senior Java Software Engineers. As part of new customer product initiatives, the Senior Software Engineer (SE) will assist with the architecture and development of next generation broadband (wired and Wi-Fi) visitor-based network (VBN) server software. Additional responsibilities include providing improvements to existing software platforms and creation of in-house development tools. 
The position reports directly to the Software Development Manager and their desire is to find a candidate who can take advantage of the tremendous opportunity for professional growth. The selected candidate will be highly skilled and well motivated, and possess the ability to jump straight in and get your hands dirty with minimal supervision. 
Required Skills: 
• 6+ years experience with J2EE and Java related technologies (Quartz, RMI, XML) 
• 3+ years of c or c++ development experience 
• 3+ years web development experience (Apache/Tomcat preferred) 
• 2+ years web frameworks experience(Spring/Hibernate preferred) 
• 3+ years of relational database experience (mySQL preferred) 
• User Interface design/development experience 
• Advanced UNIX system/network development experience (FreeBSD preferred) 
• Advance UNIX scripting experience (Perl preferred) 
• 6+ years experience in relevant technologies 
• Good knowledge/understanding of design patterns, web technologies and SDLC methodologies (Agile, RUP, AUP, UML) 
• Ability to work on multiple projects and be flexible/adaptable 
• Maintain high degree of self-motivation and independent decision making 
• Good knowledge in Object Oriented analysis, design and programming 
• Experience using automated unit testing technologies (JUnit, HTTPUnit) 
• Ability to effectively communicate technical ideas verbally and in design documentation 
• Exceptional interpersonal skills 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
• Experience using code repositories and defect tracking tools (svn, cvs, rt) 
• Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience 
Desired Skills: 
• UML, Design Patterns, CMMI, Agile, & TDD; 
• 802.11-based networks, SNMP, Cisco CDP; 
• XML, SOAP, CSS, Javascript;
