We have an opportunity for an Applications Architect: J2EE within the Technology practice at Studiocom who will be providing expertise in all stages of the full project life-cycle process. You will be responsible for managing the development of web applications and/or software solutions for Studiocom clients. You will work with clients and Project Managers in architecting, planning, developing, and implementing technical solutions of the highest quality as well as supervise and coordinate the work of Developers and Programmers.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Essential Functions
•	Manages large, complex, multi-faceted projects and facilitate large teams across remote locations
•	Leads technical architecture and design initiatives
•	Participates in corporate initiatives to guide the technology direction
•	Reinforces a sense of accountability and responsibility for delivering highest quality and value to clients
•	Participates in the business development process
•	Builds and nurtures long term client relationships
•	Participates in the creation and review of business, functional and technical requirements
•	Participates in recruiting and internal training

Experience
•	5+ years of experience in designing and building multi-tier web-based enterprise applications for EXTERNAL CLIENTS in Java 
•	MUST have consulting experience with Professional Service Organizations
•	MUST have experience with Content Management Systems
•	MUST have an understanding of Action Script and Flash
•	Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Java technologies required 
•	Knowledge of the following tools: Java 5.0, Eclipse, Struts, Hibernate, Oracle SQL, Subversion, XML/SOAP, HTML
•	Solid working knowledge of UNIX and/or Windows environments 
•	Experience in one or more of the following technologies: Business Process Management, object-oriented programming/design, component-based development, databases, web Services, EAI, and security 
•	Interactive Agency and Online Marketing experience 
•	Significant experience in matching Internet technologies to business needs.

Education
•	Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
