A client of ours located in the Buckhead area is in need of an Entry level Java Developer/Portal administrator for a permanent, full-time opportunity.
Summary
Responsibilities include requirements gathering, design, development, testing of new web-based and non-web based applications as well as maintenance and administration of Websphere portal.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Participate in all phases of the software development process
Create testing scenarios and perform testing on applications
Improve build processes and methodologies through automation
Assist in management and administration of Websphere installations and modifications
Assist in configuration and support of Websphere application infrastructure
Assist in performance turning of Websphere
Assist in administration of TRX owned websites (external and internal)
Ability to work independently and meet established deadlines with minimal supervision
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent work experience
1-3 years of software development experience
Knowledge of Java, Java Servlets, Javascript, XML, JSP, ASP, PHP, .NET, SQL, HTML, Pearl, Flex or other scripting language
Knowledge of Visual Studio
Knowledge of Linux SUSE 9 and general commands
Knowledge of Apache Tomcat
DESIRED SKILLS:
Knowledge of Web Application Architecture and/or Web Interfaces
Knowledge of Apache Web
Knowledge of Subversion (SVN), Luntbuild and ANT scripting for build processes
