Three exciting opportunities for this Broadband Media company to improve and extend existing market leading software solution used by cable and telecom operators worldwide.   The ideal candidate will be able to asses the root cause to problems in a distributed system and then design solutions for it, including improvements to performance and stability.  

Senior Software Engineer

Required Skills

•	7+ years experience developing software in a Unix environment 
•	5+ years experience developing Java/J2EE applications 
•	3+ years experience developing CORBA  applications
•	Understanding of network programming (sockets, TCP/IP, UDP) 
•	Experience developing distributed software systems 
•	Experience developing and optimizing database access
•	Experience developing highly threaded applications
•	Strong interpersonal and communications skills and an ability to understand and articulate complex ideas and concepts in both verbal and written form 
•	Motivated self-staring individual; Team player

Desired Skills
•	SNMP agent design and implementation
•	Thorough understanding of DSMCC, HTTP, and RTSP specifications 
•	Scripting languages (JavaScript, Perl, etc.) 
•	Experience with Ant, Eclipse, Profiling tools (JProbe, etc), CVS

Software Engineer

•	Bachelors Degree in Computer Science
•	Experience developing software in a Unix or Linux environment
•	Experience in Java
•	Understanding of network programming (sockets, TCP/IP, UDP) 
•	Exposure to jdbc SQL databases
•	Shell scripting, Bash, perl, python.
•	Attention to detain and a proficiency with unit testing tools like JUnit
•	Good verbal and written communications skills
•	Motivated self-staring individual; Team player

Desired Skills
•	Working knowledge of Solaris and Linux system administration
•	Working knowledge of Open Source tool chains
