We are recruiting for a Development Manager inside of a small subsidary of a large multi-national (best of boths worlds).

Responsibilities include:
-Directing and coordinating the efforts of a team of 10+ developers who are both on site, remote, and off shore.
-Recruiting additional developers as needed.
-Negotiating with our architects to create specifications and work items for your team.
-Coordinate resources to solve severity 1 production issues as they arise.

Desired Skills:
-Ability to quickly and deeply understand our application architecture.
-Good intuition for how pieces relate and how changes will impact the whole.
-Experience with best practices for keeping a team productive and a product moving forward (continuous build server, etc...).

Our application is based mostly on Java (Tomcat 5.5, Ant, Spring, Struts). Internally, we use the JIRA issue tracking system, Subversions source code control system, and Ant and Maven for build. The atmosphere is laid back, but focused.

This position based out of our office in Alpharetta (near Northpoint Mall).
