Veredus Corp is currently seeking a Software Engineer for our Client Company in the Atlanta area. Development experience with Java/J2EE, Oracle PL/SQL, JavaScript, HTML and scripting languages is needed. 
You will be responsible for designing, implementing and testing both core- and non-core software applications. Additional responsibilities include third tier support to customer managers and customer support teams.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
"	Design, implement and test software applications using a variety of technologies, including, but not limited to: Java/J2EE, Oracle PL/SQL, JavaScript, HTML and scripting languages
"	Responsible for own schedules and communications of the status of all tasks
"	Must be able to work with moderate direct supervision
"	Will interact with the QA team to: define test plans and test data; identify reproduce and document defects; fix and verify defects
"	Interact daily with Product team to clarify requirements or suggest changes during the implementation of the enhancements
"	Interact with the design team to identify, design and implement the user interface portions of the applications

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent preferred.  Must have 4 - 5 years of related work experience.

BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE
"	Advanced Java programming, including JSP, Servlet, JDBC and application servers required
"	Stored procedure writing, PL/SQL desired
"	Basic HTML coding required
"	Proficient in JavaScript/Ajax desired
"	Proficiency with some scripting languages such as bourne shell, Perl, PHP etc. required
"	Basic database design required
"	Must have strong written and verbal skills
"	Must be able to communicate technical issues clearly to individuals with various levels of technical understanding
"	Must have strong interpersonal skills when working with non-technical individuals, including customers
"	Struts desired
"	Windows, Linux/Unix systems administration preferred
"	Network administration skills preferred
"	Understanding of SMTP, MIME and email technologies desired
"	Oracle Database management desired
"	JUnit or other testing methodologies desired
"	C, C++ or other programming languages preferred
