Our customer is a global services firm that specializes in enabling the transformation of its clients’ business and IT functions. This subsidiary works primarily in the government sector; working directly with the United States government on some large - enterprise wide Java applications. These applications function as a supply and inventory control suite of applications. The current system is being upgraded with brand new, greenfield functionality utilizing hand held devices as data inputs. The data will uploaded either real time or in batch mode to the core application for processing. This initial piece of work is scheduled to run an initial 6 months to get to the first deliverable in late February or early March. After the initial 6 months, our customer anticipates ongoing development will run between 12 - 14 months. 
Our customer is looking for a J2ME consultant to join the team and lead the effort to develop a suite of hand held applications. This greenfield development effort is going to replace a fragmented, non-standard system. These applications will interface with the current, in-production product to process inventory, parts and other critical data. 

The chosen consultant will have a strong background in leading the effort in developing J2ME - based handheld applications. Applications development, security authentication (PKI and CAC), and leadership abilities and skills are very important for this role. The chosen consultant will be expected to develop the enterprise wide view of the application, determine synchronization policies and procedures, develop applications to standard specifications and guidelines, and drive the overall effort to standardize the hand held application. This is a tremendous opportunity for a seasoned consultant to put their fingerprint on a brand new, enterprise wide application. 

Interviews are scheduled to start immediately, and the location is north Atlanta - near the I75 and I285 interchange.
