RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides strategic software development consulting support for the Financial Management division business systems. Creates and designs business applications, creates technical design documentation, develops the software unit and integration testing solutions, and guides system implementation.

Consults with business unit leaders to ensure that the business system meets their requirements, creates and designs applications, and performs unit and integration testing for systems in the financial management disciplines of derivatives, fixed-income investments, general ledger/accounting, risk management, and mortgage purchases. 

Defines and develops technical specifications for new financial systems and modifications to existing financial systems of medium to high complexity.

Performs unit/system integration testing to validate data integrity and performance on enhancements and application upgrades.

Develops solutions for system integration to include creating new processes and interfaces to and from other Bank systems and outside data sources.

Interfaces with Information Technology Engineering for installing and implementing new technology and with Information Technology Services for production execution of the software.

nterfaces with Information Technology Services for implementing new on-line and batch processing jobs.

Converts quantitative financial formulas to programmatic code.

Provides production support assistance to ensure timely and effective solutions to intra-day and batch processing issues.

Creates scripts and reports in support of the Financial Management swap data.

Provides time accounting to management.

Produces system documentation for all enhancements to existing system and new systems.

Leads projects, as needed.  

Provides mentoring to other members of the team.


Job Restrictions:

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in finance and eight years of computer programming experience, preferably with C++, VB or VB.Net, and JAVA, or the equivalent combination of education and experience is necessary.

A good understanding of object-oriented programming is required.
