Java Architect

 

The Solution Architect will be involved in the definition of approach to projects and solutions, assist in the architecture of solutions, design and implement interoperability solutions, and, in a limited capacity, govern project delivery for those solutions.  The Solutions Architect will assist in the design of project solutions and ensure that the solution meets customer business and technical requirements and project implementation requirements.

 

Provide technical expertise in the design, build, and implementation of Enterprise Application adapters 
Develop the processes, tools, methods and deliverables to support the conceptual, logical and physical architecture components of the architecture process. 
Definition and evolution of the implementation of Software and supporting architecture 
Approve project conceptual, logical and physical architectures, briefing of project teams, advise and support projects 
Provide Technical Design Authority (TDA) and QA services to projects with respect to use and evolution of product suites 
Other tasks as required 
 

Requirements

Programming Background – Understanding and proficiency in structured languages. 
Business Knowledge - Familiar with business critical documents (i.e., purchase orders, invoices, labels) and their supporting processes 
Software Skills - Ability to write SQL database calls, page compress, email and fax documents in Unix, and Windows environments 
Must have the ability to work with internal and external team members to accomplish tasks and to effectively and efficiently communicate issues 
Familiarity with the consultative selling process 
Problem Solving: 
Ability to resolve customer problems with diplomacy, either directly or with your team's assistance. 
Solid troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills 
Ability to craft solutions for clients 
Communication: 
Ability to document and share findings from each customer implementation with the entire consulting organization. 
Ability to communicate orally and in written form with clients and peers 
Organizational skills to manage and order daily/weekly work. 
Presentation skills 
Bachelors in and IT field or equivalent experience; Masters preferred 
3 years Technical Architect 
3+ years in Java 
3 years SOA experience 
3 years managing similar architecture programs 
JBPM, or JBOSS is a big plus 
SAP, or QAD development specialty plus
