This is an exciting opportunity for a Software Engineer with ADP EMPLOYEASE. SUMMARY:

Member of team responsible for developing applications, frameworks, components necessary to support and drive a suite of robust complex Internet applications and E-Business products. Will be involved in all phases of development including design, implementation, testing, and deployment. Interface with Product Strategy to understand business requirements and quality requirements. Work with engineers, architects, and managers to formulate and address strategic and tactical initiatives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Design, build, document and test Java web based applications in the HR domain
- Works independently within team of Java developers
- Support and expand infrastructure between the Employease Network and business partners
- Work with architects and UI designers to assure product quality
- Improve efficiency of Java development employing process and tools
- Increase and improve availability of system information via APIs
- Work toward developing a highly scalable, distributed, compute intensive system
- Perform design and code reviews
- Insure that design and architecture is well positioned to meet future needs
- Document and test necessary product features and APIs
- Other duties as assigned 

Job Restrictions:
----------------

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Three years of OO language experience with a minimum of one year hands on Java coding.
- One years of OOA/D using CASE tools, diagramming tools, and text files
- Two years internet application development
- One year SQL
- Experience with some or all of Java threads, servlets, JSP, and distributed objects
- Experience with Unix based environments and shell programming
- One year UML experience
- One year of XML and XML tools and technologies exposure
- Web protocols and languages HTTP, XML, HTML, Javascript
- Hands on experience with major web servers, application servers or transaction processing
- Experience within formal software development process
- Proven referencable ability to deliver work products
- Sense of humor and belief that work can be fun
- BS/BA in Computer Science or related field; or equivalent work experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience developing HR, insurance, payroll or other benefits domain experience
- Familiar with Internet security, DHTML, Perl
- Experience with workflow products and systems
- Familiarity with import/export and data mapping tools
- Experience with CVS, Ant, Tomcat, and other open source technologies
