The department is searching for a candidate with previous experience in a technical support role, possess technical aptitude, strong analytical and problem solving abilities (including troubleshooting complex issues), excellent customer service skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, Unix operator skills, ability to multi-task, ability to develop and maintain solid working relationships with peers and customers, excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracy, and the ability and desire to work in a team oriented fast paced environment. 

The Applications Support Analyst II will be responsible to:

• Perform software updates and production releases.
• Monitor application and system performance post-release.
• Analyze, document, and respond to requests for technical and usage data about the LCS product by internal and external customers.
• Create and update application and application-support technical documentation.
• Troubleshoot application, system, and networking issues. 
• Create technical documentation about LCS usage, workflow, and performance.
• Provide Level 2 pager support (support rotation is currently 24/7 for a period of two weeks).

During this support period, the duties include monitoring, troubleshooting, and responding to client- and system- generated pages, and escalating to support, development, and management.


Job Restrictions:

For consideration, candidates will have:

• 5 Years of experience with UNIX C/C++ environments
• 2 Years of experience with Java and JSP
• 2 Years of XML experience
• UNIX Operator skills
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent oral and verbal communication skills
• UNIX Korn or Bash Shell Experience
• Previous experience in a technical support role, possess technical aptitude, strong analytical and problem solving abilities (including troubleshooting complex issues). 
• Ability to multi-task, develop and maintain solid working relationships with peers and customers, excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracy, and the desire to work.
