Need an experienced Java developer for a short term (three month) contract.

Project is to modify an existing large-scale Web application to a new single sign on protocol to allow it to be integrated into a portal.

Technologies are WebSphere and SQL Server.  Architecture is Struts with JSPs on the front end with stateless session beans on the backend—“core J2EE patterns” circa 2001.

Major tasks involved will be:

- Elaborate and document technical requirements
- Modify software to conform to new SSO protocol
- Modify software to respond with specific error messages for system errors
- Develop mechanism to migrate user ids in DB to new user id keys
- Create test plans and scripts
- Create test harnesses (we won’t actually have the portal to test with)
- Support implementation and testing at customer site (probably 2-3 short trips to the Midwest)

Experience with WebSphere and Struts is critical as there is little time for ramp up.  Experience with single sign on authentication schemes is a plus.

Project to kick off ASAP after 12/1

Location in Atlanta area is required, but much of the work can be done remotely and the candidate must be able to work independently.  

Prefer corp-to-corp arrangement for the contract.  

Initial contract is short term, but there is potential for follow on work.
