Job Description
 
• Accurately estimate work effort and complete assignments on schedule
• Read,understand and create both requirements (use cases) and architecture documents (UML)
• Present work in peer review sessions and resolve all identified issues
• Mentor junior developers and provide knowledge transfer in terms of design and development. This involves helping to get peers up to speed in a certain business or technological area.
• Support system, integration, and user acceptance testing, resolving reported defects
• Provide input for software development improvement initiatives. 
• Lead reviews of requirements, design, code, test documents.
• Work in team environment

 
Required Skills
 
• BS Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with 12+ years of software development (or MS Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with 8+ years software development)
• Extensive software development experience (10+ years). Consulting experience a plus
• Experience in Open Source Frameworks
• Strong Java/J2EE (7+ years) knowledge
• Experience in Service Oriented Architecture, Enterprise Service Bus, Frameworks
• Engineering in Database Abstractions, Object Relational Mapping, Hibernate, high volume transaction management system design, clustering/distributing company design
• Strong communication, presentation, technical writing and documenting skills.
• Experience in designing and creating at least two large scale systems.
• Expert status with open source technologies like Spring and Hibernate.
• Ability to create generic solutions/designs based on industry established design patterns.
• Ability to leverage the open source tools such as to avoid the possible mine fields.
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Experience with agile/iterative software design process.
• Experience with Windows and Solaris OS
