SolTech has been asked to identify a strong Web Application Developer with current Ruby on Rail experience.

Our client is a Buckhead-based start-up enjoying admirable success and growth. This 5+ year old company has grown from a great idea to an established business with a respectable revenue stream. As the company moves into the second half of its first decade, there are very cool and aggressive plans to expand the existing product offerings and to expand the market focus. To support these initiatives, the company is embarking on an ambitious agenda of new Web Application Development—it’s all Ruby on Rails based!

The company has an existing/legacy product line, some of which will be rewritten in Ruby on Rails. Additionally, there are major new applications to put in place. This work has created the need for a solid stand-alone Web Application Developer who can be a walk-on Ruby on Rails full life cycle development resource.

Our clients runs lean. The development team is tiny (and, on some days, includes the CEO!). This new position is a stand-alone position with the opportunity and challenge of creating the next suite of applications pretty much as a solo performer. While multiple-year experience in Ruby on Rails is an impossible qualification, the position calls for, essentially, three things: Current Ruby on Rails at a high proficiency level. Solid hands-on experience in Web Application Development in an OO development environment. Experience in Full Life Cycle Development as a solo or very small team performer.

We are seeking:

•	Degree (highly preferred)
•	4+ years Web Application Development from an OO environment. Experience doing Full Life Cycle Development as Solo or very small team Performer. Strength across three tiers including strong Database Skills
•	Current experience in commercial Web Application Development in Ruby on Rails
•	Strong “subjectives”: great interpersonal skills, communication skills, great work ethic
