Salary / Rate: $65k - $75k plus benefits 

Our client in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Software Engineer for direct
hire, permanent position in Atlanta, GA. The right candidate must have
at least 3 years of solid development experience using Java and C++ -
any experience with TKL is a plus (but not required). This is a position
within the software group and will involve new development work as well
as modification / upgrade of existing programs. Candidates must have the
ability to plan, schedule and manage their individual work tasks as well
as work within the team to accomplish larger deadlines as well.
Outstanding communication skills both written and verbal are required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

		* Building and debugging drivers given protocol
documentation 

		* Designing and developing graphic user interfaces 

		* Developing automation and correlation rules with
computer scripting languages

		* Communicating with customers, sales teams, product
development teams and project managers 

		* Installing hardware, operating systems, network
management and control software and third party software 

		* Configuring and testing full management and control
system 

		* Providing quality assurance testing of project
solutions per quality management procedures 

		* Interpreting project requirements and planning
technical tasks in support of requirements

		* Providing problem segmentation and communicating
internally and externally 

		* Dissecting problems methodically and systematically
and isolating root cause of software problems to a specific area 

		 

Qualifications:

		* Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline - Masters
degree is a plus. 

		* 3 + years systems engineering or software development
experience 

		* Knowledge of the following Operating Systems: Windows
NT, Windows 2000, XP and Linux 

		* Knowledge of computer hardware, software and
networking 

		* Strong oral communication skills 

		* Ability to plan, schedule and manage individual work
tasks 

		* Problem identification and resolution research
