We are seeking a candidate with a diverse skill set along with the following:
The ability to design and code all user screens, wizards, in Swing, heavily threaded for responsiveness.
Write network client classes to receive status reports and send commands, import/export configurations via Java Message Service (JMS), also with RMI, JDBC, and raw sockets.
Work with DHTML web client to duplicate functionality of an existing media browsing/previewing client,
Write servlets to report current and historical host status and customer-support ticket info, with information from separate RDBMS.
Define, Design implement and test software applications using a variety of technologies including Java/J2EE (AWT and/or SWT), Javascript and HTML. (Ajax a plus).
Candidates with experience developing in both a Linux and Windows environment are preferred.
Solid system architecture and design skills surrounding Java RMI, JMS, JDBC), C++, .Net, Perl, and other scripting languages are desired, but not a must for this role.
