Qualifications: Degree in Computer Science or related field is highly desired, but not required.
- Extensive knowledge using Web related technologies which include: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML/XSLT, PERL, CGI scripting, JAVA, and JSPs.
- Ability to interpret various Web server operational characteristics and accurately determine the presence of a problem. Once a problem is discovered, ability to identify possible solutions, selects the most appropriate solution, and implements that solution in a timely fashion.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to lead both technical and non-technical discussions with both technicians and non-technical end-users.

Duties: Manages the staff (two-eight FTEs) responsible for development, deployment, and support of computer systems/servers for all aspects of the operational processes used to develop, produce, and deliver Web sites and Web content for CNN business units, including CNN CNNMoney, SI and NASCAR. 
Activities include: Developing and maintaining systems to deliver content to the Internet with specific attention to availability, performance/capacity planning, and architecture design and implementation. Developing domestic and international distribution systems for Web content employing a tiered network distribution system. Developing and maintaining operational control and management systems to support Web site operations.
