Java/J2EE Designer/Builder/Developer/Leader

SolTech has been asked to identify a talented hands-on Java/J2EE Architect/Developer for a unique opportunity with one of our clients.

Our client is a successful entrepreneurial with a history of conceiving, developing and launching several start-ups. A powerful differentiator between our client and some lesser lights of 90’s infamy is that our client has a good track record, has outstanding traction in the financial backing area, and builds companies on solid foundations, using real business vision, and a realistic approach.

Our client is in the opening phases (along with partners and backers) of launching a new company. It is, at this stage, an exciting idea and an impressive blueprint. We are looking for the technical leader who will bring the idea to working fruition and go on to provide technical leadership over the small team that’s built. We are looking for an architectural visionary, a heavy duty technical resource, one heck of a coder, a charismatic team builder, and a near future technical leader—all under one hat.

What you get out of it is the high wire excitement of a start-up (with some sensible safety nets below) plus the opportunity to grow yourself into the person who runs the technical show. Right now, you get to contribute to architecture and build. You get to bring this thing to life. And, you get to build the tech team. 

The compensation for this position can include elements of solid base salary, reasonable (start-up scale basic benefits,) miscellaneous perks, development/results-oriented bonuses, and equity opportunity. The package is conservatively worth “low 100’s” and potentially worth substantially more. Specific compensation package to be determined on a per case basis.

•	In so many words: a Java/J2EE Technical Heavyweight with real charisma
•	Full Life Cycle (from architecture to production) Development experience
•	Huge knowledge in the classical J2EE world plus Open Source Technologies
•	Strong Web-Enabled Java Development Background with very strong Database Experience
•	Methodology & OO-Driven approach to Development
•	History of accomplishments
•	This position calls for hours of code followed by cocktails with investors
•	The job calls for Entrepreneurial Spirit, Technical Prowess and Business Savvy
