Our Fortune 100 client located in Alpharetta GA is looking for a Sr. WebSphere Portal developer for a 6 month contract to permanent position. This sr. portal developer will work on our client’s enterprise portal application that interfaces with their 6 vendors for their pre-paid business. This role is full lifecycle software development; requirements gathering, design, development, testing and deployment. You will need to be a very strong portal developer with extensive experience with portal API – JSR 168 Standard. 

Primary Technical Skills: Has in-depth knowledge and can perform without assistance. Can direct others in performing. Repeated and successful experience. • J2EE, JSP and Portlet development experience • Strong understanding of web development concepts and technologies • HTML/XHTML/CSS • Relational database and SQL development experience • Unix AIX /HP-UX 11/Sun - At least one of these three or a comparable competitor is acceptable • Full development lifecycle experience: requirements, design, build, test, deploy • Strong communication and analysis skills 

Secondary Technical Skill Sets: • Korn Shell exposure/experience (ksh, csh, bash, sh) • Portal API – JSR 168 Standard • Portlet API • XML, Content Management, Web Services, SOAP, MQ, SOA • Hibernate, Log4j, JUnit, 

Hands on experience with one or more of the following IBM Tool Set(s): • Eclipse/ IBM Rational Application Developer (RAD) • WebSphere Portlet Factory • WebSphere Application Server (WAS) • WebSphere Portal (WPS) 

Non-IBM Tool Set(s): • Experience with PL/SQL Developer/Toad/SQL Navigator - At least one of these three or a comparable competitor is acceptable • Experience with a Source Control tool (Clear Case) • XML Spy 

Exposure to but not required: • Some Java/JDBC exposure/experience • Some Perl/Python/Jython exposure/experience • Some Unix Shell Scripting exposure/experience • Oracle Sqlplus, Sqlldr, and external tables exposure/experience
