Lithium Technologies, a leader in hosted online communities for enterprise customer support, is seeking a Web User Interface Engineer to join our Atlanta development team and help build the next generation of online community software. If you're passionate about software development and making a slick Web UI work for the millions of users on our customers' sites, and prefer a small company with minimal bureaucracy, this may be the job for you. 

We are working with interesting new technologies, including Tapestry on the server side, and Scriptaculous and Dojo on the client.

Specific responsibilities will include: 

• Designing and implementing enhancements to Lithium’s core user interface, including the introduction of AJAX components, CSS, and semantically rich HTML. 
• Designing and implementing user interfaces for new online community features, including social networking, wikis, blogs, reputation engines, and analytics tools.
• Developing and maintaining unit tests.
• Identifying and championing new technologies that enhance the end-user experience, software quality, and developer productivity.

Lithium prefers to hire for talent and motivation rather than a specific set of skills or number of years' experience. We'd prefer experience with Java, JavaScript, AJAX, and associated technologies. But we're most interested in people with a passion for writing good, clean user interface code that delights end-users. Experience with social networking or online community sites is a strong plus.
