Description:

The client is looking for a consultant that has preferably worked in a MVC (non-off-the-shelf frameworks)environment. Must be able to develop "pure" Java applications. 


As our Application Developer, you must have the ability to define, create and complete a technical task without a great deal of guidance. The position also calls for the ability to be creative, innovative, and work well independently and as a team player while providing enhancement and bug fixes to an existing set of applications. Experience with Java, JSP, XML and JavaScript is required. Solid written and verbal communications skills are also required. You'll work well within teams of developers and have good communication skills. This job requires organization, professionalism and the ability to multi-task. 


Required Skills:

• 2-3 years experience programming in Java 
• 1 year experience programming in HTML, JavaScript, XML, and WML 
• 2 years experience using object oriented development techniques
• 1 years experience programming in a web arena 
• Undergraduate degree in computer science or equivalent work experience  required. 


Desired Skills:

- 2 years experience using a relational database
- Exposure to a formal development methodology tool
- 1 year experience developing in Windows NT and Unix
- Experience developing for Sun/Netscape and Apache web server platform

Non-Tech Skills:

Ability to interact competently and coherently with designers, product managers and QA team.

Duration:
6 Month Contract
