We have been retained by our client to hire a Senior Java/J2EE Developer for Atlanta, GA. Our client’s primary business focuses exclusively on designing and underwriting coverage targeted to the special needs of contractors and subcontractors. They provide clear and specific policies suited to each contractor’s needs eliminating the risk associated with greater claims exposure. Whether a sole proprietor or large contract shop doing residential or commercial, they offer scalable solutions with superior technology; owning all core insurance functions in-house (risk management, client services, underwriting and claims). They react quickly to market needs and their unique structure permits rate and form flexibility with the ability to get a policy in 2-5 days with 24/7 claims support. 

JOB SUMMARY
The Sr. Enterprise Developer is responsible for the development of J2EE components / services for enterprise Insurance systems. The developer will design, develop, test and deliver J2EE components.  Enhancements and defect resolution will be required on an ongoing basis.  Best practices and design patterns will be heavily utilized to insure the success of the system. The developer will be required to translate UML diagrams into class structures for a component based system.  They will be required to test, analyze, and provide solutions to operational and performance problems.

• Responsible for assessing project requirements and project timelines. 
• Superior analytical skills and close attention to detail.
• Good project management skills, including the ability to lead, facilitate, and organize.
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and motivation skills.

Job Restrictions:

Required Skills:
• Experience in all phases of the SDLC.
• Experience using the RUP methodology.
• In-depth knowledge and experience in developing J2EE systems.  Minimum of 5 years of Java experience is required.
• Solid understanding of Client/Server, Host Based Batch, and Net Centric architectures.
• Presentation, Business Logic, and Data access layer development experience.  N-Tier design experience.
• Deep practical experience in development of HTML, JavaScript, Java Server Pages, Java Applets, Java Beans, XML, Java Servlets, Enterprise Java Beans, JNDI, JNI, RMI, Sockets, TCP/IP,  Multi-Threading, SQL, PLSQL.
• Experience in developing applications on IBM Websphere Application Server.
• Experience with WSAD.
• Database experience using Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL Server.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Desire and willingness to work in a collaborative, innovative, flexible, and team-oriented environment.
• BS CS/EE College degree required.
