Ideal candidate must have the ability to define, create and complete a technical task without a great deal of guidance. The position also calls for the ability to be creative, innovative, and work well independently and as a team player while providing enhancement and bug fixes to an existing set of applications. Experience with Java, JSP, XML and JavaScript is required. Solid written and verbal communications skills are also required. You'll work well within teams of developers and have good communication skills. This job requires organization, professionalism and the ability to multi-task. 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES 

Design, develop and implement Java object oriented applications. 
Maintaining/updating current code base using Java, JSP, XML and JavaScript. 
Estimate production time of new development, site changes and bug fixes, communicate estimates to reporting manager. 
Ability to turnaround site changes and bug fixes in a rapid manner. 
Prepare weekly status reports. 

SKILLS 

REQUIRED 
· 2-3 years experience programming in Java 

· 1 year experience programming in HTML, JavaScript, XML, and WML 

· 2 years experience using object oriented development techniques 

· 1 years experience programming in a web arena 

· Undergraduate degree in computer science or equivalent work experience required. 

DESIRED 
· 2 years experience using a relational database 

· Exposure to a formal development methodology tool 

· 1 year experience developing in Windows NT and Unix 

· Experience developing for Sun/Netscape and Apache web server platforms 

Candidate must have the ability to interact competently and coherently with designers, product managers and QA team. 
High energy level and physical stamina for deadline driven projects 
Highly creative, with ability to work within pragmatic boundaries. 
Ability to work with minimal supervision on short-term projects. 
High attention to detail and ability to work and manage files in an extremely organized manner. 
Ability to multi-task and adapt to frequent and unexpected change 
Ability to take direction, or to work without it, depending on circumstance 
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills 
Unquestionable ethical standards.
