Our client has been a leading provider of decision-making technology and information that helps reduce fraud and mitigate risk. They have grown from the nation's premier source of data to the insurance industry into the premier provider of decision-making insight to businesses and government. Through the identification, retrieval, storage, analysis and delivery of data, they serve the informational needs of businesses of all sizes, as well as federal, state and local government agencies. They are looking for a senior Java engineer to come on board contract to hire. 

Responsibilities: 
Responsible for designing/developing large data-centric Java/J2EE applications and responding to product support issues. Will participate in the full software development lifecycle, using an iterative development methodology. Responsibilities include analysis, design, coding, testing, documentation and support. Must work with Management, Project Management and Lead Architects, as well as collaborate with other engineers 

Knowledge/Skills: 
• Full lifecycle software development experience required 
• Java/J2EE • WebLogic and/or JBoss preferred 
• JSP 
• Struts 
• JSF
• AJAX
• Oracle RDBMS 
• UNIX development required; Solaris preferred 
• JBuilder and/or Eclipse preferred 
• PL/SQL
• Excellent communications and writing skills
• UML modeling tools and the use of design patterns 
• Ability to operate in a team environment and under tight deadlines
