Basic Purpose:

Help users understand how Leica Geosystems technology can be adopted and implemented within their organization, and then seek to define and implement a plan that successfully meets these needs. Provide project consulting and management services in all aspects of the Leica Geosystems software to a wide range of clients in the USA and overseas.

Major Responsibilities:

• Assist our clients in translating and implementing their real world needs into practical, state-of-the-art, integrated solutions.
• Provide programming consulting to clients on use and applications of Leica Geosystems Geospatial Imaging Divisions’ products.
• Troubleshoot and provide timely problem resolution to developers using the customization aspects of Leica Geosystems Geospatial Imaging Divisions’ products.
• Teach a range of courses on the uses of Leica Geosystems Geospatial Imaging Divisions’ technology for developing solutions.
• Provide feedback for product and geospatial process/method improvement.
• Develop and maintain an appropriate level of product knowledge.
• Represent Leica Geosystems at various trade shows, User Group Meetings and Distributor Meetings. Client/prospect demonstrations may be required.

Job Restrictions:
----------------

Background Requirements

• Undergraduate Degree in either Remote Sensing/GIS, Earth Sciences, Computer Sciences or Information Technology. Remote Sensing/GIS knowledge is preferred.
• Strong C++ programming skills must be demonstrated through practical implementation in a project environment.
• A working knowledge of ERDAS IMAGINE is desirable.
• Strong communication skills (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
• Team player.
• Self starter who can work unsupervised and show initiative.
• English speaking, with a second language preferred.

Must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and will be subject to a government security investigation if necessary.
