Basic Purpose:

To provide professional customer support, to clients and distributors, on the range of Leica Geosystems software products.

Major Responsibilities:

    * Interact with clients, Authorized Distributors and other Leica Geosystems staff members to provide solutions that enable the range of LGGI software products to perform optimally under a wide range of system environments.

    * Provide continued customer care from initial client contact through to case closure, recording all interactions with the client in ONYX.

    * Contribute to a knowledge database for more effective support.

    * Develop and maintain an appropriate level of product knowledge.

    * When required represent LGGI at various trade shows, User Group Meetings and Distributor Meetings. Client/prospect demonstrations may be required.

Job Restrictions:
----------------

Knowledge/Skills Required:

    * Minimum of an undergraduate degree in Geography or Remote Sensing or related degree with an emphasis image processing.

    * Familiarity with ERDAS IMAGINE, LPS and other Leica software products

    * Understanding of GIS applications 

    * Database knowledge such as Oracle Spatial, ESRI Geodatabase an asset

    * Good presentation skills in front of corporate executives and industry experts

    * Must be a highly motivated team player with good written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
