The Java Developer will interact significantly with senior I.T. leadership, in addition to the Chief Information Officer, Chief Technology Officer and Director/Manager level staff and Vendors. In addition, the candidate will work closely with key departmental and project stakeholders across the organization. Therefore, the ability to work collaboratively and effectively with all levels of management and staff within the organization is a key priority in this role.

Responsibilities:
-Designing and developing J2EE applications that conform to internal design and coding standards
-Experience designing and implementing web services using SOAP, XML, Axis
-Documentation and modeling of applications using UML methodology
-Working with business users to gather requirements
-Troubleshooting and maintenance of existing web applications
-Ability to translate user/customer feedback into executable application modifications

This is a Temp to perm Opportunity.

Required Skills:

-Minimum of 6 years overall, relevant experience in software development 
-Minimum 4 years experience developing Java and J2EE applications Struts, JSP, JDBC, XML
-Strong knowledge and experience with JDBC, XML, XSLT, DOM/JDOM
-Experience with Apache Tomcat/Jboss application server
-Knowledge and experience with UML modeling concepts and tools
-Strong foundation with object oriented concepts and design patterns
-Flexibility, ability to change priorities quickly, and capacity to handle multiple tasks
