A new job has been added:
Job ID: 1473
Job Title: Production/Maintenance Support Developer
Location: Atlanta
Business Name: Kforce Professional Staffing
Email: rbouchard at kforce.com
Job Description:
----------------
Openings: Two
Duration: 6 months contract
Pay rate: $40 to $60/hour
100% Bug Fixing
Zero New Development
This is a maintenance position i.e, the developer will work on bug/change/enhancement requests, each request takes anywhere from few hours to just few days. There are a lot of these types of requests queued. The developer will fix/change accordingly and see it though, testing and deployment while simultaneously moves on to the next request.
There isn’t going to be any new “project/product cycle” type of development (i.e., not full cycle development). This is a fast paced in the sense that there is a short build cycle, bi-weekly build. This is very important, again, because the expectation is that the candidate will work with the process and move these change requests fast, work with the requestors(non technical people), identify the problem and come-up with feasible solution, and help through testing it.
1. Recent maintenance responsibilities in a team environment.
2. Fast paced short cycled development build cycle.
3. Hands on with Eclipse/MyEclipse.
4. Good debugging skills.
5. Recent content management experience.
6. Work with large code base (lot of files) and with a code version control system.
7. Passionate about java development work and be able to quickly learn new applications and environment.
8. Take ownership of tasks and hit-the-ground-running and work with little or no direction, after initial orientation/knowledge transfer is a definite plus.
9. Strong fundamentals of J2EE, MVC frameworks (beyond Struts, Spring because we have our own MVC framework implementations), JSP's, web server, application server.
Please contact me ASAP.
