Mid-Level Software Developer position

Job Summary

The Software Developer will be responsible for contributing to the technical analysis, design, implementation and support of high-impact software solutions for various projects relating to client residential and commercial converged product offerings in a consensus-driven environment.  The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring quality software, while understanding team-building and cooperation as part of success.

This is a hands-on position which will require individual contribution following a team lead.

Job Duties

Minimum Requirements a candidate must possess:

1.	2+ years of JAVA/J2EE software development experience
2.	Experience with J2EE containers (Tomcat, Weblogic)
3.	Familiarity with J2ME and WAP application development
4.	Excellent written and oral communication skills
5.	Experience developing with Web Services (SOAP, XSD)
6.	Bachelors degree in computer science


Must be able to:
 
1.	Program J2EE technologies and learn new technologies/business processes easily
2.	Develop a strong understanding of wireless products and technologies
3.	Communicate effectively by phone, in person, or email to several areas of client
4.	Provide day to day support of existing wireless applications
5.	Follow a project plan with specific tasks delegated
6.	Implement unit/profile/load testing of applications
7.	Learn, adapt, and implement quickly new technologies for scalable robust wireless applications
8.	Navigate Solaris 10 environment easily, understand basic system administration tasks and  files manipulation tasks
