Senior Java developer

Permanent Position



We are currently recruiting for a Sr. Java developer in the Alpharetta
area. Position is with a very large and prestigious Fortune 100 Company
that is a committed J2EE/Oracle "development shop." 

Basic function:
1. Assist in the analysis, design, development and maintenance of IT
solutions to the various internal business organizations 
2. Participate in code reviews, design meetings and client-facing
requirements meetings

Essential Responsibilities: 
1. Candidate is expected to work under the direction of senior technical
staff and concurrently work in multiple small project teams with
diversified short-term objectives and potentially varying technical
approaches. These projects typically expect short delivery cycle and
follow our company SDLC process.
2. Ideal candidates should possess at least an intermediate to senior
level of technical experience with a focus on Java (including Core
Java/JSP/JSF/Servlet/J2EE/EJB) 
3. Some past experience with Open Source technology such as Eclipse,
Hibernate, Ant, Junit, Apache, Tomcat, Webpshere, JBoss is also
preferred 
4. Experience with Oracle 8i/9i/10g and SOAP/Web services is also
preferred

Qualifications:
1. BS/BA preferably in an engineering or science-related field 
2. Four or more years experience developing multi-tier cross-platform
applications 
3. Four or more years experience with full life cycle development in
Java/J2EE.

4. 2 or more years experience with the Open Source technology suite
preferred
5. Knowledge with Weblogic and/or WebSphere will also be helpful

6. Knowledge or exposure to the Agile Methodology is preferred

7. Experience with VB is preferred

8. Experience with EDI is a huge plus
