Reporting to the Director of Software Development, the Java Engineer will be responsible for Design, Development, and Deployment of J2EE applications, components, and portals within the SDLC and technical architecture framework.  The Java Engineer will be a key resource in the development and utilization of Client Messaging Framework, for the development of J2EE applications.  
 
Responsibilities:
•	Design, Develop, and Deploy J2EE applications and portals with the SDLC framework. 
•	Participate in the development of enterprise and application technical architecture.  
•	Perform as expert technical resource to programming staff in the program development, testing, and implementation process. 
•	Leads developers in design reviews and integration testing. 
•	Communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
•	Produce and interact well within a technology team environment.
•	Participate in a wide variety of special projects.

Required Skills: 
•	3 – 5 years of Java development skills covering all Java standards APIs, Object Oriented design (EJB, JSP, JSTL, JMS, AJAX, Servlets, etc) 
•	1-3 years of Java programming experience in a messaging system architecture -JSR914- (Jetty, ActiveMQ, OpenJMS, etc)  
•	2- 5 years experience developing J2EE applications utilizing Oracle as data source. (Oracle, PL/SQL, Toad) 
•	Excellent time management skills and attention to detail. 
•	Ability to organize and manage multiple concurrent priorities. 
•	Problem analysis and problem resolution skills at both a strategic and functional level. 
•	Bachelor’s Degree (CS) required; Masters Degree preferred. 
•	Team player seeking visibility and growth.
