Responsibilities Include:

•Develop and extend system functionality in order to meet defined business requirements.
•Analyze, design and develop a Java/XML-based J2EE application in JBoss.
•Understand configuration management, packaging methodology and techniques.
•Effectively document technical issues, changes to code, etc.
•Maintain the integrity of core platform source code throughout the life cycle.
•Study new technology and remain technically current.
•Mentor developers on team. 

REQUIREMENTS:

•Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field;
•3+ years of J2EE design and development experience, including creation of Java Server Pages (JSPs) servlet, Struts or Spring frameworks, Enterprise Java Beans (EJBs), JMS.  Preference will be given to candidates with experience on highly transactional systems deployed and used in production. 
•Strong knowledge in each of the following: Java, J2EE technologies, Java Servlets, JMS, JDBC, distributed computing, and ANT;
•Very strong object-oriented design and development experience, specifically in the area of J2EE design patters such as Model View Controller, Data Access Object Pattern, etc.
•Good working knowledge of software testing and building high quality software;
•Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and deliver production quality software within tight schedules; 
•Good verbal and written communication skills, with proven track record of producing and reviewing use cases, providing estimates, and organizing tasks;
•Experience with software testing tools, regression testing, performance testing, a plus;
•Experience with Open-Source Technologies, a plus (e.g.: Hibernate, Spring Framework, HiveMind, JUnit, Eclipse); 
•Strong knowledge of JBoss application server, a plus;
