The position is for a well-rounded senior Java developer experienced in
building high-volume, high-availability data applications. The position
will be primarily hands-on programming, but will include system design
and architecture. 

The candidate must be able to articulate well thought out architecture
decisions and then implement the Java-based servers, database
interfaces, and front-ends as well as J2EE-based web servers that
comprise the architecture. 


The position will also require hardware knowledge/analysis (disk
architectures, machine speeds, file systems, threading comparisons on
processors, etc.), and performance analysis and troubleshooting . 

Education and Job Experience: 
Senior-level experience (8 plus years) in designing and implementing
object-oriented systems, with an emphasis on high-volume and real-time
systems with server-side Core Java. 
Must have experience with JSP- based web architectures. 

Experience with relational databases and database design/implementation,
including Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL. 
Must have experience with SQL queries 
Must have Linux experience 
Must have excellent communication skills 
Must be able to work quickly as a self-starter, and an ability to work
well with a small team environment 
Experience in Tomcat and Resin are a plus 
Experience in financial systems is a plus 
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science 
Working Conditions: 
Work is normally performed in an office environment. Occasional travel
may be required.
