We are currently seeking someone to use Java and SAS to build web based tools for external as well as internal clients which will enable them to understand and analyze their data from a high level with the ability to be able to drill down to more detail if needed
Read in raw data from clients and manipulate the data using SAS
Migrate data to a web portal for client access
Work with OLAP and Business Intelligence tools
 

Required Skills and Experience:

3+ years of experience in Java programming and Java Server Pages (JSPs) is required.
3+ years programming experience in SAS required - including Base SAS (Data steps, Proc SQL, Proc Summary etc.), SAS Macros, SAS ODS.
Additional experience in the following is a plus: 
- Knowledge of Java, JSP and other web application development tools with a working knowledge of querying, manipulating and displaying SAS data stored on backend servers onto web pages

- Experience in the OLAP environment - SAS version 8 MDDBs (multi-dimensional databases) and/or OLAP in SAS Enterprise BI preferred

Strong data manipulation and data management skills are required.  Should be able to visualize and manipulate data to a point where it can be represented in a cube, or be presented in a way that is useful to the client. 
Ability to understand design specifications and project requirements for any new projects, and work with clients and project managers to build a product that meets those requirements 
Familiarity with Unix and shell scripts
Team player with strong interpersonal skills
Strong analytical, problem solving skills and project management skills 
Good oral and written communication skills
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, MIS or any other quantitative discipline is required.  Masters Degree preferred
