Our client is a leading provider or automated data collection products and services for the utilities industries developed using cutting edge enterprise Java technologies. We are looking for a Snr. Java software engineer for an initial 6 month contract. 
Development work is true core product development from R&D to prototyping and product deployment. Our client is an Agile development environment so an understanding is a plus. They are currently adding enhancements and completely new functionality to their core product offerings. They are looking for incredibly smart and energetic people that are able to thrive in a very fast paced environment. 

Required Skills 

• Knowledge of Java-based technologies including the Java SDK and J2EE technologies • Knowledge of open source technologies: Struts/Spring, Tomcat, Hibernate, Mule • Experience with user interface technologies such as JSP, XML/XSL, JavaScript and UI Design. AJAX is plus • Familiar with Object Oriented and Aspect Oriented technologies: OOA/OOD, Design Patterns, and UML. • Familiar with databases design and operation, J2EE application servers. Experience with Web Logic, Web Sphere is desirable • Dedication to high quality software engineering. • Self-motivated, results oriented individuals driven to succeed in complex environments. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to a variety of technical and business audiences. • Bachelors or Masters Degree in engineering / science 


Job Restrictions:
----------------

***Must have a strong understand of Struts and Tiles background and how it is laid out. 

***Experience with JSP’s is required. 

***A general understanding of J2EE container (Weblogic, JBOSS is a plus)

***AJAX is a large plus but not a requirement…they are using AJAX in a limited capacity to enhance the user experience.

***Hibernate is a plus but not a requirement
