Java/J2EE Senior Developer

SolTech has been asked to identify a talented Senior J2EE Developer for one of our clients.

Our client is a growing software products and services company located near Buckhead. Frankly, we love the company. We’re prejudiced by a long and productive and very pleasant association. We’ve done development for them, we’ve staffed for them, and we’ve had the opportunity to watch the company grow and continue its transition from a start-up to a solid publicly held corporation while still retaining its energy, its character, and its identity.

To be even more subjective and gushy, we’ll say that we’re supporting a manager in the company for whom we have deep respect and affection. He is an all-around good guy, an excellent people person, a talented manager, and is consistently praised by his employees. And, his specific application area is a highly successful and profitable area for the company; that equals continued growth and some very interesting technical agenda.

We are seeking a Senior Level Technical Contributor for this group. The role is very much hands-on development. We are looking for a skilled coder. We are also looking for a techno/business problem solver who can come up with reasonable solutions and create them. We are looking for a go-to person who can earn the respect of and be a technical resource to more junior developers. And, we are looking for a technical resource who brings in-depth knowledge of things J2EE as well as hands-on resourcefulness in more Open Source/Latest-Greatest technologies. We are looking for a senior craftsman and practitioner, who knows the tools, is guided by using the right tool for the right job, who loves to share in the build.

We are seeking:

5 years Hands-On Java/J2EE Development
Degree; Sun Certifications Highly Preferred
Current experience in Open Source (Hibernate, Struts, Spring, Ruby, etc.)
Strong Full Life Cycle Experience and continued engagement in both design & code
Strength across three tiers
Absolutely Winsome 
Impressive Interpersonal/Communicatoion Skills
