The Web Developer is responsible for design, implementation and maintenance of web based systems to support the Company's internet, intranet and extranet system requirements. They are responsible for understanding and applying existing web technologies such as Java, HTTP servers, web servers, HTML, XML, JDBC and open source solutions to meet the needs of the company. They are also responsible for staying current on new technologies and educating MIS Management to there value and application. Their time will be planned monthly.

*This is a Contract to Hire position* 

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

Program in Java using the WDSc IDE, CVS, Struts, HTML, JDBC, SQL, Websphere Server and XML.

Participate in the design, development, installation and maintenance of web based systems that meet the information requirements of the company.

Ability to take a project from start to finish, including analysis, design, programming and administration.

Unit test and debug of all program changes.

Make and maintain Knowledge Base entries for use by the department to effectively document web systems and interfaces to back end databases and processes.

Must participate in the after hours on-call duties. Must be able to resolve problems that may arise during the coverage and notify MIS Management of any severe situations.

Provide input to the management relative to changes in the Data Processing standards and procedures.
