Our Client, located in Midtown Atlanta, is the global leader in the public record space. This full-time (contract to hire) position is for the e-commerce arm of this billion dollar company. This group includes 10 developers and one manager/director. This java engineer will be charged with designing, building, running and maintaining *web applications and ...associated infrastructure for internet B2C and B2B sales of public record data. Candidates will be motivated by working in a fast paced, fluid environment with multiple, critical, simultaneous tasks. Must think quickly and clearly under pressure, be willing to act without delay, and not be risk averse. 
Development process: Agile. This team uses a 2 week Agile build cycle. 

Requirements definition: 50% of the design doc's will be in a UML format and 50% wont. Therefore this person will need to understand UML diagrams. 

Java: this is a web based B2C and B2B application build in Java. This person will need a solid, *web based, full life cycle, end to end, development background. Other tools would include HTML, Javascript, XML, XSLT, JSP, SQL, MySQL, SQL Sever, Linux, Apache, JBOSS. 

**WebMethods (version 6.5+ preferred) Includes Portal, BAM, BPM (task & human) 

C++: some C++ experience with be helpful. This system includes an ETL tool built in C++ that may need to changes or maintenance from time to time. 

SQL Server & MySQL: some experience with database design would be helpful. 75% of the products are built with SQL Server and 25% with MySQL. 

Team: 10 people. Very stable. No attrition in 4 years. Great tools and a great opportunity to do full life cycle development in a B2C and B2B environment. Good midtown location.
