The Java Architect will lead the Architecture team, creating innovative solutions to be used by other development teams. The Architecture team builds infrastructure and technology that is deployed globally. The individual has to be a team player with a comprehensive grasp of Java, messaging and be able to convey designs, alternatives and approaches to a team of peers. 

***The person needs to have in depth knowledge of java web technologys (JSF, JBOSS Seam, Spring). In addition, knowledge of Google Web Toolkit, DWR, Velocity and JRuby on Raills is desired. 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Write Java code • Create standards, examples, and tooling for other developers • Provide training, documentation and support to other developers SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS • Java J2EE a must • Strong Object Oriented design skills a must • Multi-year experience in Enterprise Java a must • Knowledge of Hibernate preferred • Knowledge of Spring framework preferred • One of the following would be beneficial: o Background in message architectures o User interface technology o JMS o MQ series • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or similar a must 

Desired Skills: ***Knowledge or experience with developing Eclipse plug-in’s from scratch 

• OLAP and ETL experience is a plus • Green field development experience (full lifecycle, Agile)
