JAVA SOFTWARE ENGINEER 

JOB DESCRIPTION: 

The Application Software Engineer will be part of the Access Networks
Software group. This group is responsible for developing next generation
fiber and coax access products for the delivery of video, voice and
data. The candidate will be responsible for the development, debug, and
maintenance of management system software and related support
applications. Additional responsibilities include system integration
test and verification activities.Minimum Requirements:

- 4+ years of hands-on experience with Java development

- 4+ years experience developing software utilizing object-oriented
analysis and design

- Excellent written and oral communication skills

- Education: BSCS, BSCE, or BSEE

- Travel: 5%Preferred Experience:

- SNMP implementation experience 

- Advanced UNIX skills

- Experience scripting in a TCL, Perl or Python environment
